Chande Community School

Chande Community School

The Chande Community School is one of many private schools throughout the country that provide an elementary education. There are not enough public schools for all the children in the country, so communities set up their own schools. The teachers in these schools are sometimes volunteers or they receive a small stipend from the communities. We provide support for these teachers where over 400 children attend elementary school.  After our visit in 2019, we renovated the schools and bought new desks. 

We set up a room for computer instruction for the resident orphans and provide a teacher for weekly class
